Location: At special exhibition room 1 of the Sugimura Jun Museum of Art (Shiogama City), 30 minutes east of Sendai.
Admission is free.

This is an exhibition of small paintings done by Jun Sugimura on Shikishi (色紙・しきし), a type of small message board given on special occasions in Japan. This event will showcase many of these works donated by Yutaka Sugimura (Honorary president of Shiogama Sugimura Jun Museum of Art).
We invite you to discover Sugimura’s alternative perspective – something that is bright and colorful – which contrasts his usually dark still life motifs in his paintings.
