This exhibition showcases approximately 70 photographs by Hideki Onuma, featuring portraits of Miyagi painters in their private studios and close-ups of their palettes. The works offer a rare glimpse into the sacred and often unseen creative spaces where artists pour their souls, highlighting how these environments, and even the art materials themselves, are deeply imbued with the artists’ essence and struggles. Onuma emphasizes that these photographs are valuable records that can inspire and warm hearts. The exhibition aims to provide a message of encouragement and challenge to future artists. Additionally, a special section will display works by eight artists connected to Jun Sugimura, inviting visitors to explore the creations born from their unique palettes.
